There are some good recipes and fun new ideas in this book. I liked it a lot, but she does seem to have a peculiar dependence on goat cheese. Many of the otherwise wonderful sounding recipes have dairy in them so if you are looking for a vegan raw food book, you may want to look at this in a bookstore or library first before you decide if it is for you. I think the book is good, I just don't know many raw fooders who do any animal products. Of note, she has an especially interesting section on crackers, with everything from curry crackers to quinoa sesame crackers, it's fun to play with!

The recipes look pretty easy, but this book has NO pictures in it, not even one! I like to at least have a couple pics of the dish I am going to make. I would have never bought this if I had known this.I guess you have to use your imagination.

I have a number of raw recipe books and ate pure raw for about a year...I wish I'd had this book then, it would have made it a lot easier. This book is long overdue. The recipes are simple, easy, well written and you can tell they're well tested and tweaked. Mary Rydman's passion and care for raw food comes clearly through in this wonderful book. You won't be disappointed. This is the kind of book you will refer to often if you're into raw food....

This book not only has a wide variety of recipes that taste great, it is very user friendly with easy to follow instructions. Nothing complicated about this book, unlike many other raw recipe books. There is even some interesting new 'food for thought' in the beginning text.

Raw and Radiant is a fantastic cookbook. When I bought this book I was not familiar with the how-to's of raw cooking nor all the benefits, but this book made it easy to start. The recipes are delicious and the cookbook very approachable even for raw novices such as myself. The author explains the basics of raw cooking in a simple and straightforward manner and sets a wonderful ground for all of the recipes. I recommend the soups!!
