Our mission: It is the Bible Society of South Africa's task to provide affordable Bibles for everyone in their own language and in suitable formats so that all may experience the life-giving message of the Word.
Who we are: The Bible Society has been bringing the Word of God to South Africans since 1820.
Today the Bible Society of South Africa operates in seven regional offices (Bellville, Bloemfontein, Durban, Esikhawini, Kempton Park, Mthatha and Port Elizabeth), as well as from its head office in Bellville, to meet the country's Bible needs.
The Bible Society of South Africa is a full member of the United Bible Societies, a family of 146 Bible Societies operating in over 200 countries.
What we do: The Bible is for everybody - not just for people who read or for those who can afford to buy a Bible. Our focus at the Bible Society is on providing affordable and accessible Bibles to all South Africans. We do this through our publication programmes - translation, productions and distribution - which are all made possible through our fundraising programmes.
Management and values: The Bible Society of South Africa is a non-profit company. The different church denominations are members of the Bible Society. Churches nominate representatives to the various regional committees which in turn each elect three representatives to the Annual General Meeting. The Bible Society has a Board of Directors comprising eight members.
The Bible Society exercises sound business principles directed by Christian values to render effective and efficient service.

Now, to the recurring complaint of not knowing the book you are in and problems searching...
I started to get frustrated at first with not knowing what book I was in. That was until I found an interactive table of contents (best way I can describe it) just a swipe away on the left hand side of my screen. When you opened this scrolling, collapsible TOC, it was at the book and chapter you were in and the square with the chapter number on it was lighter than the rest. Confused yet by what I am sure is a bad description?
If you were to collapse all of the books, at the top of this TOC was a link for Old Testament and New Testament. Or you could scroll down and the was the titles of all the books, in order, of course. When you get too the book you want, you can click on it and it expands to list all of the chapters. The chapters don't expand but the link takes you right to the b beginning of the chapter. You could use one of the two TOCs at the beginning. One is just the book names that link to that book. The other TOC has chapter numbers as well as book name.
Another nice thing is that all the verses start on a new line so you don't have to try to decipher where one verse ended and the next began.
I haven't opened this version in one of my older Kindle, but there has got to be a way to get to this TOC on a non-touch Kindle.
Anyway, I found this to be the best KJV for Kindle. I found it very easy to scroll through the TOC on the side and jump from book to book.

But many, like myself, knew the KJV from early childhood and feel uncomfortable with any other wording; in part that is perhaps because we were told it was the Word of God as it stood; more probably it is because the rhythm of the words, virtually blank verse, makes reading it out loud a pleasure.
This version on Kindle makes access easy to whichever book or chapter one wishes to consult by link from the Contents pages. It represents a very useful addition to the world of bibles.
