Overweight? Out of shape? Try Swell-Wimpa revolutionary new program of sexual exercises designed to help you reduce and control your weight. No expensive equipment required. No strict diet. Swell-Wimp is simple, its natural and its fun! Sounds plausible, doesnt it? Every form of exercise "burns" calories, so engaging in sexual exercise should work as well as any other type. Swell-Wimp is a humorous parody of exercise, diet and self-help books. With Swell-Wimp you maximize energy expenditure during sexual activity. How? Burn more calories during sex by vocalizing (sing, laugh, yell), exercising (sexual sit-ups, push-ups and dancing) and wearing more "clothes" (coats, weight belts, heavy shoes). Absurd? No, its all very logical.

Top review from the United States

Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2000
I had some initial misgivings about the text that were quickly replaced by a suffusive sense of mirth >and< a quiet appreciation of the laconic undercurrent of parody and satire found in the text and its peerless footnotes.
My own quirky sensibilities were burnished by the authors' mastery of the esoteric, arcane, and the literary. Dickinson scholarship will certainly never be the same after the adumbration of certain of her key poems in the chapter devoted to her.
But what propels this book to a "must read" is the humor which can be side splitting. The advice offered to elders is especially on target. Anyone interested in sex and/or weight loss [and the dynamic fusion of the two] will revel in the insights.
Good satire is rare; I salute the accomplishment of the authors. They've managed to 'send up' two topics that fill bookshelves but, when combined, form a rare alchemy. High marks all 'round!
Not incidentally, I lost 11 pounds and have never smiled as much.
