A straightforward, easy-to-understand book that teaches you how to directly communicate with animals.

Animal Talk teaches you how to open the door to your animal friends’ hearts and minds without resorting to magic tricks or wishful thinking. Every creature can be reached through telepathic communication—from your tabby cat or cockatiel to the wasps that build nests in the eaves of your home or even the common flea—you just have to be open to the idea, and mind-to-mind communication will be in your grasp.

In addition to an entire chapter devoted to teaching people how to develop mind-to-mind communication with animals,
Animal Talk includes a discussion of freedom, control, and obedience, understanding behaviors from the animal’s point of view, how to handle upsets between animals, tips on nutrition for healthier pets, and the special relationship between animals and children.

All her life, Penelope Smith loved animals and communicated with them. Now, she didn't just talk aloud to them but transmitted her thoughts and feelings non-verbally or telepathically, and understood what they communicated to her by receiving their thoughts and feelings. Animals, both domestic and wild, have been her friends, confidantes, and teachers for as long as she can remember.

As a spiritual counselor in 1971, Smith discovered that animals could be relieved of emotional traumas and other problems through the same counseling techniques that helped humans. The details of her amazing counseling session with her first animal client, a black and white cat named Peaches, is told in her book, "Animal Talk," first published in 1982, and now in its sixth edition. The profound results of her adventures in communicating and counseling with animals and their people are found throughout her subsequent books, audio, and video publications. The training and experience that have contributed to her success are her educational background, with bachelor's and master's degrees in the social sciences; years of training and experience in human counseling, nutrition, and holistic body energy balancing methods; research into animal nutrition, anatomy, behavior, and care; plus the firsthand education from the thousands of animals she has contacted.

Smith's visionary work as the leading pioneer in the field whose name she originated, "interspecies telepathic communication," has been featured in newspaper and magazine articles, such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Natural Home, and Woman's World, numerous books, and on radio and television (Coast to Coast, NPR Weekend America, Fox Channel News...). She has developed tried-and-true telepathic communication techniques, complementing ancient wisdom and modern scientific knowledge. Her methods foster people's ability to understand and communicate with animals on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. A legendary teacher for four decades, she has helped launch the careers of numerous professional animal communicators. People have affectionately called her the "mother (and now the grandmother) of interspecies communication." Smith feels that the sacred connection we make through telepathic communication with other species is essential for human wholeness. She believes that everyone is born with the power to communicate with other species, and that, although it is long lost for most people, it can be regained for the benefit of all beings on Earth.

Smith is the author of the popular, classic books on the subject, "Animal Talk" (available in many languages), "When Animals Speak," and, "Animals in Spirit." She is the founding editor of "Species Link" magazine begun in 1990. Her audio recordings include the "Animal Communication Mastery Series," "Animal Healing Power," "Animal Spirit Call," and the "How to Communicate with Animals Basic Course." Her DVDs include an overview of animal communication, "Telepathic Communication with Animals" and a powerful retreat at a wild animal sanctuary, "Wild Animals Speak."

Smith lives in the Sonoran Desert north of Phoenix, Arizona with her animal family.

I found out about Interespecies Communication shortly after my beloved dog passed away and this book (as well as Animals In Spirit) has been of great comfort. I found it interesting and insightful. I really wish I had known about it before my dog was euthanized. I highly recommend both books to anyone wanting to learn about Animal Communication or who simply loves animals and wants some insight into their minds.

I just recently took a weekend curse in Interspecies Communication. I have always been fond of animals, and when I was growing up I had all kinds of animal companions in the house. Of course we had a big house with a large garden so I had dogs, cats, rabbits, hens, a rooster, frogs and fish in the fountain, canaries, a parrot, and what not. Now I can't have many animal friends due to space limitations, but I currently have 4 cats, 1 mouse and 6 hamsters as my companions. I haven't been able to communicate with all of them, but so far I have done so and well with one of the cats, Bruma, one of the hamsters, Uriel, and the mouse, Byron.

Now, communicating with animals does require a lot of practice, patience and openness. You really have to trust what you get, and don't judge anything that comes to mind. You will develop your own way of perceiving what they say, it can be through images, sensations, or even words. Trust your higher self. And I do suggest you keep a notebook nearby so you can record your experiences. The book gives you different techniques to communicate with animals, and their steps are easy to follow. The author gives you good advice and guides you through the process. I'm no expert, but would love to achieve a true and meaningful way to communicate with my animal friends so we all can live together in a more harmonious family dynamic. This is the first book I read on this subject and so far it's a good starting point. I'll get some more regarding this subject so I can improve in my communication habilites.

Pioneer in the field of Animal Communication, Penelope Smith's first book sustains a message of unity, compassion and understanding to humankind, in the aim of encompassing consideration to those creatures who long we are familiar with: animal beings. Through truthful communication, Penelope Smith claims that a deeper relationship with animals is possible, as we open our hearts to the reality of telepathy, viewed not as a esoteric capacity but a natural inner ability to be developed within every human being. This amazing book contains easy exercises to get initiated to the language of animals, as well as incredible stories validating how the way we view and treat animals could not only solve behavior issues between animals and humans but also and foremost bring a great step towards a more compassive world.

I bought the package of 3 books and I highly recommend you do the same. These 3 books have been a staple in my animal communication studies. Penelope shares real stories to show us what is possible and what we are truly capable of. Animal communication is changing my life, and I am grateful for these books to help me begin this journey!!!

Interesante, Lo tengo en digital, no hay opción o no sé como usarla, para traducirlo.
Cuenta más bien experiencias y no tanto como manual práctico de uso.
Voy a ver si los otros libros de la misma autora ahondan más en la parte práctica.

I was pleased enough with this book to order several copies in order to share them with others. From the distance the topic may seem "out there" but on closer examination it is an intelligent approach to cultivating the intuitive realm — which has been undervalued in the face of the logical approach so popular in today's world. Though as Iain McGilchrist points out in his very excellent RSA talk on the divided brain & the making of the western world, "Even rationality is grounded in a leap of intuition. There is no way you can rationally prove that rationality is a good way to look at the world. We intuit that it is very helpful..." (he's not suggesting that rationality *isn't* helpful, just that it isn't *everything*).
