Purchase options and add-ons

Part business book, part golf novel, Plugged resonates long afterwards and provides real world lessons that apply to the home, the office or the golf course. Chet McGill, the dedicated vice president of sales at AlphaMax Manufacturing, is under fire — Trident, their biggest client, is being pursued, aggressively, by a new competitor. At the same time, Chet is feeling off-balance as he preps for a golf tournament in which he’s partnered with Reggie Ward, Trident’s vice president of operations. Faced with big problems and with all eyes on him, Chet learns to get back to what's important to his company, his clients, and himself. Pluggedteaches readers to "shoot for PAR," a simple, proven method to achieve success in just three useful steps — prioritize, adapt, and be responsible. In the spirit of Who Moved My Cheese?, Krissi and Dan Barr offer a simple parable that is engaging, engrossing and empowering.

Plugged is a great parable about the common themes in our life - from work, to golf, to friendships, to family. The messages of prioritizing, adapting, and taking responsibility definitely have hit home with me. In the week since I read the book, I've used this technique several times in trying to focus on what really mattered most to me. Sometimes I, like everyone else, gets caught up in the day to day hustle of just getting things done rather than looking at the bigger picture. I also like the quick read storytelling format which made the book a fun read. I have high praise for Plugged.

"Plugged" is a compelling business fable in the genre of "Fives Dysfunctions of a Team". The lessons are constantly reinforced within the story building your arsenal of leadership tools in a comfortable and memorable manner. I recommend this for anyone looking to add to their personal skillsets that are strengthened through simple but effective examples. A case study in business and golf.....but you don't have to be a golfer to follow and appreciate. Clear, concise and you will finish reading in a single sitting....my kind of book!

Great book about how to be more productive. The book starts with a cast of characters who illustrate the concepts through a story. The book then covers three tools to help you break bad habits and focus on the things that matter most in a more detailed/instructive way. Easy read and great principles to increase your focus.

Krissi and Dan have creatively brought 3 seemingly un-related events--golf, work, and life--together in a unique and memorable manner. The lessons taught are transferable; and anyone, at any level of the sport, their career, or their being, should be able relate and apply. As a new "golfer" (using the term lightly!), I am learning the terminology, as well as the goals and etiquette of the sport. The tips, techniques, and lessons of Plugged will surely help me along life's journey--not just in golf, but in every aspect of my existence. I certainly recommend this book to all!

As a fitness professional and business owner, I found Plugged to be very insightful. Not only is it an easy read, but the lesson learned can be applied to any business.

I took the PAR evaluation on the website and gained EXTREMELY valuable information on what I needed to do to get unplugged.

I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to improve where they are with their business.

As a CEO, I've learned that the ability to explain complex issues clearly and simply is critical to leadership and success. "Plugged" nails it. This book presents complex issues such as problem solving, performance and success in the nicely wrapped concept of PAR, Priorize, Adapt and take Responsibility. You and your management team can read this book in one sitting, and I recommend you do it.

anyone selling B2B or fears losing a big account or wonders about golf with a client. I know Krissi Barr and reviewed this book in detail for the 300,000 subscribers to Small Business Trends. I have no financial interest in the book or smallbiztrends. This is a top book and a great story to boot! Louie Strike

Whether you are engaged in long-term strategic planning or tackling a current crisis with your business, Plugged lays out a framework (PAR - a golf analogy) that will help you succeed. Plugged is easy to read and provides a fun way (via the golf analogy) to learn/absorb the authors' framework.
