This cookbook is beautifully written. Variety of healthy time tested recipes.

This book was my introduction to cooking, when I was 17 and on my own with a new baby. I had ZERO kitchen skills. This, and the “Moosewood Restaurant Daily Special”, were my go-to books to teach myself how to cook. I’m so honoured to own my own copy now. Definitely recommend this book to everyone. ❤️

I'm not a big cookbook fan, but this one is my absolute favorite. I had the original from my mother, but the updated version has the same recipes, but have been reworked to use less fat. I love the drawings, and very easy to follow directions. Every time I bring a dish to a dinner party - whether a salad or a side dish - it's always highly praised and 100% eaten.

I have loved this cookbook for over 25 years!
When I moved five years ago I let my husband talk me into giving away my cookbooks plus many other books! SILLY ME!
I have really missed the recipes from the book. I'm so happy to have the book again!

Prompt delivery. The cookbook arrived in very good condition. Like new.

If your old Moosewood Cookbook is tattered and falling apart, as the author discusses at the start of this updated version, hold onto all your favorite recipes from the old version. I was amazed to discover how many of my favorites had been altered like Gado Gado and Indonesian Rice Salad. I'm not saying that the new version might not be good but as an old hippie from the 1970's, I loved so many of these dishes as originally written. So now I have gone through my old cookbook and torn out the pages from my stained, tattered, taped together version and stuck my favorites in with the page with the updated version. Perhaps I will blend the two version. Perhaps I will just use the old one. But be aware that there are many serious changes to the recipes for your old favorites!!

A friend sent me a copy of the original Moosewood book from the USA in the eighties. I've bought this edition for a younger family member in the hope she gets as much pleasure from it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fedele all'edizione degli anni 70,
