Ken Ward in the Jungle is a classic adventure novel that will captivate readers of all ages.1912. One of Zane Grey's Ken Ward series of books for boys. A great adventure read from the great author of Western fiction. The book begins: What a change from the Arizona desert! The words broke from the lips of Ken Ward as he leaned from the window of the train which was bearing his brother and himself over the plateau to Tampico in Tamaulipas, the southeastern state of Mexico. He had caught sight of a river leaping out between heavily wooded slopes and plunging down in the most beautiful waterfall he had ever seen. To say the least, great book, expertly written by a truly wonderful author. Genius to say, the experience made one feel that they were there with the boys on this wonderful journey. Rock on mighty river!!!

A will written adventure novella in the jungle by four young men going down several rivers. The characters are interesting. The story line is fast moving with lots of risk to life and limb racing to the conclusion. I would recommend this novella to anyone looking for a quick read. Enjoy reading 🔰2021 😮

Ken Ward, brother Hal, new friend George, and priceless Pépé conquered and charted new untamed territory in the wilds of a Mexican jungle...they went where possibly no man had gone before, encountering slithery, scaly, vicious, tiny and gigantic, obstacles, overcoming each with their own brand of cunning and ingenuity. What a terrific action-packed adventure movie this would make!

I had to give only 2 stars but not because of the author. Years ago my mother read Sane Gray, so I decided to branch out more on the genre I read. I thouroughly enjoyed Riders of the Purple Sage, but the formatting of the Kindle edition of the Ken Ward adventure was so bad, it was barely readable. PLEASE REFORMATE THE BOOK

A real departure from the usual Grey western...did not realize this was originally written for young people but still enjoyed it. I had to struggle with the way it was uploaded to my Kindle in that it appeared typewritten and with very uneven printing, i.e. breaking words apart and even having dangling periods, etc. but that helped me to concentrate maybe a little more in my reading!
