Alliances: The Balance of Power Paperback – May 14, 2007

The Omegans are an extraordinary race with extraordinary abilities. Black holes and wormholes are only just the beginning of a chain of events that set in motion a chance encounter with humans—an encounter that is destined to take place, yet one no one thought it would come during such troubling times. Thrown in the middle of all this is Dr. Fred, whose own future hangs in the balance and depends greatly on the outcome of events shortly to take place. This one chance encounter leads to an alliance that soon faces its greatest challenge. Will the alliance stick true and overcome all odds of survival? Or will it crumble and fall, dooming two galaxies in the process? Will Fred live up to the expectations and potential that Cleo and the Omegans see in him?

Elizabeth Quinn and Anstance Tamplin are pseudonyms of Beth Quinn Barnard, who grew up in East Rochester, New York, and has been a professional writer of news and novels, and a teacher of journalism, fiction, and composition since 1976. A graduate of Skidmore College and Boston University, she's lived in Grants Pass, Oregon, since 1983 with her husband, Jeff Barnard, a reporter with the Associated Press. Her children, Nate and Nellie, are grown, but she and Jeff made sure they were Red Sox fans before setting them free. In her spare time, Beth likes to read, travel, hike, cook, downhill ski, raft whitewater and sing alto in a local community chorus. Her website is www.BethQuinnBarnard.com.
