The Lost Scrolls: Air (Avatar) Paperback – January 23, 2007

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 35 ratings

IF YOU ARE READING THIS, you have uncovered one of the four hidden scrolls I have compiled about the world of Avatar. This scroll contains all of the knowledge that I have gathered so far about the Air Nomads -- their history and culture and the great tales of their past.

Aang revisits his former monastery, Katara learns the truth about Aang's mysterious past, and Sokka reveals how he saved the Northern Air Temple from the Fire Nation. The scroll also contains information about Airbending moves, Air temples and monks, the Avatar Cycle, and much more.

Keep this scroll safe, and share it only with those you trust. Beware, for there are many who wish to expose it's secrets....

Kids love it, they stay up late reading cause they are so in to it. Pictures are good to, helps visualize what they are reading and ties well to tv series.

My child loves all the Avatar stories. This purchase was to fill out her collection. These are good stories with appropriate values.

This book was bought for my son. He said: They really didn't show anything about Air benders in the show. This book was more about hidden information about the Air Nomads. I liked it.

For fans that are always seeking to always learn more about the world of Avatar, I definitely recommend these Lost Scrolls; not only do they contain resumed chapters, but also information that is not mentioned nor in the series. One really learns a lot.

I am giving it 5 stars from my son, who got it for his 5th birthday. I have read it to him, and it's a good introductory chapter book. It's not a comic/picture book; it has enough text that it could be considered an early chapter book, but it does include a lot more pictures than most early chapter books. This seems to be a great mix for a kid this age. As to the content, it has stories from the video series, but told in the voices of different characters-- the different voices really do come through, and it's a nice way for a young kid to relive the video episodes. There is also some information on Air Nomad culture that he is less excited about, but it's spliced in between the stories, so it does not end up getting too boring for a young kid.

Well-designed, too; personally, I really liked the look and feel of this book.

My son is an avid "Avitar" fan! He has learned a lot that is not covered on the tv show. He actually keeps the books in a "safe place" and has shared them with friends. I highly recommend them.
