Become an extraordinary results-producing champion for humanity and yourself! In life there are two types of people. The first are those who are nice, good-hearted, and compassionate but can’t make much happen. The other kind can make everything happen—they’re the creators, the go-getters, and the aggressive producers in society—however, they’re often self-centered, greedy, and unethical. Wouldn’t it be great if you could make things happen in a really big way but not lose your integrity? The Compassionate Samurai will show you the way to produce extraordinary results in a dog-eat-dog world and still maintain the highest levels of ethics. You’ll learn:• How to always be satisfied and motivated regardless of your circumstances• Why all people have freedom but very few have liberty• What competing commitments are and how they prevent you from having what you want in life• The secret to operating optimally in an untrustworthy environment• How to make the shift from scarcity to abundance even if you’re knee deep in debt . . .and much, much more!

He was truly an entertaining and effective speaker, facilitator and master of group dynamics.

Brian was founder of Klemmer & Associates which has produced results in companies such as ITT Sheraton, Hewlett Packard, American Suzuki Motor Corporation, as well as direct sales companies. He authored the best-selling book If How To's were Enough, We'd all be Skinny, Rich and Happy, which discusses many of the key principles and concepts that are the core of his company and his phenomenal, results-producing seminar series. His most recent book, The Compassionate Samurai outlines the ten traits of a samurai and was recently named a #1 Wall Street Journal Business Book.

On April 7, 2011, Brian passed away as the result of a torn carotid artery. When Brian Klemmer founded Klemmer & Associates, his dream was to create an army of compassionate Samurai to make a difference in this world. The greatest way that those who know and loved Brian can honor him is by stepping into that role. Brian Klemmer was a teacher, mentor, and great leader, and will be sorely missed.

This insightful & applicable book helped me take an accurate look at my life and leadership and equipped me with tools to step into the 10 qualities of a Compassionate Samurai. While I never had the opportunity to meet Brian Klemmer here on earth, I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to be mentored by his teaching and writing!

What is a balanced life? Being workaholic? Leaving the house before the family is up? Getting home when they're already asleep? Never leaving for a 3-day weekend because you are afraid work or business will fall apart without you? Your spouse is, in error, thought to be a single parent because no one has ever seen you at any social or school functions? Telling yourself once you have saved up $10,000 in cash for a rainy day, then you'll be happy? Then once you saved up $10K, then telling yourself that once you save up to $100,000 then you'll be happy? Then hitting six-figures and then say when you hit seven-figures, then you'll be happy? We suffer when we don't have what we want and we suffer when we have what we want because we cannot hold on to it forever. So what is a balanced life? How can we have both success and happiness?

I recently had the pleasure of attending a 3-hour workshop with Mr. Klemmer and I read 'The Compassionate Samurai' prior to doing so. I think that the points that he makes in his book are very accurate and often eye-opening. However, for this to have any meaning in your life and for you to actually make changes that better yourself, YOU are the one who has to take action to do it. Of course the book won't do it for you and Mr. Klemmer won't do it for you either. I think this is where some of the negative reviews come from. Overall, the points are easily understood and he lists several exercises that you must do to reinforce the points that he makes. Bottom line is that you must first truly want to make positive change in your life and, more importantly, must realize why you are not where you'd like to be. What is preventing you from doing so? I think this book helped me open my eyes in many ways, and it is definitely worth reading. If you aren't willing to delve into this book with an open mind and an open heart, it is not the book for you. It helps set the roadmap, but you are the traveller!

I am reading this book for the second time and feel compelled to share that it is a must read for a person interested in a world that works for everyone. You have a choice in life to be a victim or be responsible, If you are a victim read this book because it will help you discover how to release that feeling. If you are responsible, read this book so that you can have an even bigger impact on the world and teach others to become responsible. Brian Klemmer presents a foundational work in being a person that makes the world a better place. The book is timeless, the trainning his company offers is changing the world. If you are frustrated with what you face in the world, read this book and change it.

This book describes ten qualities or traits that an extraordinary person (what Brian Klemmer calls a Compassionate Samurai) should have. These qualities are described in detail. But more importantly specific instructions for how to assume these qualities are spelled out for the interested reader.
This book is not for a casual reader, and will be a waste of time for anyone not truly interested in becoming a better person. If your desire is to remain "average" then find something else to spend your time on. If, on the other hand, your desire is to make a difference in your own life and the lives of others, then this book provides a good road map to that change.

I bought this book on a recommendation of a friend and I love it. This book makes you want to take action in your life, to make anything happen, but it also stresses the importance of creating extraordinary relationships with yourself and those around you, and contributing what you can to help others succeed. Step by step, day by day and week by week we can incorporate the ten most important codes: commitment, personal responsibility, contribution, focus, honesty, honor, trust, abundance, boldness and knowledge.

Bryan Klemmer is an extraordinary man. His writing is not flashy but his message contains such fundamental truths as to provide a path to become healthy, wealthy and wise, but more importantly to do it with integrity and honor. This book provides a "How To" guide to those truths.
To internalize the values of this book is create in a world of chaos, a path to order, health and happiness with great honor and integrity for yourself and others you will come in contact or touch.
I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Path to Extraordinary Results with Heart 💪🙏
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 22, 2024
In the fast-paced, often cutthroat world of business and achievement, it's easy to lose sight of our values and ethics. Brian Klemmer's "The Compassionate Samurai" offers a refreshing perspective, guiding readers on a journey to becoming extraordinary producers and champions for humanity, without sacrificing their integrity. 🌟

Pros:
✅ Powerful Mindset Shifts: Klemmer masterfully illustrates how to break free from limiting beliefs and scarcity mindsets, paving the way for abundance and true liberty. 🔓
✅ Ethical Excellence: The book challenges the notion that success must come at the expense of ethics, providing a blueprint for achieving greatness while maintaining compassion. 👏
✅ Practical Wisdom: Filled with actionable insights and real-world examples, "The Compassionate Samurai" equips readers with the tools to thrive in challenging environments. 🛠️

Cons:
❌ Dense Content: Some concepts may require re-reading and deep reflection to fully grasp their significance. 📚
❌ Personal Resonance: Certain examples or analogies may not resonate with all readers' personal experiences or worldviews. 🤷‍♂️

As someone who's often struggled with the dichotomy between ambition and compassion, I found Klemmer's words to be a breath of fresh air. 🌬️ His concepts, such as "competing commitments" and the distinction between freedom and liberty, challenged me to re-evaluate my approach to success.

While the book demands patience and an open mind, the rewards are well worth the effort. "The Compassionate Samurai" is a must-read for anyone seeking to unlock their extraordinary potential without compromising their values. Klemmer's blend of spiritual wisdom and practical strategies will undoubtedly inspire readers to become the best versions of themselves, both professionally and personally. 💫🙌

Wow, what can I say about this book other than after reading those book end to end? I was compelled to buy five copies of this book to share amongst my friends who have read other personal growth books. When you find a good book you want to share the experience with friends/family who would appreciate it. It's like finding a good bottle of wine, its no good to drink it alone when you have people you care about and what to share that experience.
It certainly challenges you to reflect into various aspects of your life and how a Compassionate Samurai would demonstrate those qualities.
Chapter 1: Commitment
Chapter 2: Personal Responsibility
Chapter 3: Contribution
Chapter 4: Focus
Chapter 5: Honesty
Chapter 6: Honor
Chapter 7: Trust
Chapter 8: Abundance
Chapter 9: Boldness
Chapter 10: Knowledge
The chapters are straightforward and I felt it challenges you to reflect how you show up in various aspects of your own life.
