The books' exercises are very empowering not to mention interesting. The book goes into reincarnation, past life regression, understanding your fears/phobias, and teaches us, walks us through how to journey back and delve into your own past. It is simplified, giving us a comprehensive look, an idea of reincarnation and karma being within your power to make choices rather than what comes around goes around and you are powerless to do anything instead of believing like a punishment kind of karma.

Refreshing many of the things I have read and know. However, this is a good book for someone starting out on past lives. Depends on what you believe but I found the concepts within the book to be intriguing. It amazes me that such theories on past lives could be true. And has very interesting stories to back up her explanation of past life, reincarnation as well of many issues were address.

If you've ever wondered about past-lives, whether the idea is true, and if so, why should you care, than this is the book for you. Denise Linn gives us a comprehensive look at the idea of reincarnation, and puts in it in an easy to understand way that gently guides the reader step-by-step as to how to look at the idea through his/her own life.

Lin starts the book off with her own story. Shot as a young girl, Linn nearly dies and experiences a N.D.E.(near death experience). The experience opens her up to the world beyond the physical and starts her on her own journey of exploration. After a lengthy hospital stay, Linn leaves the hospital, experiencing the world in a totally different way. She now saw the energy behind every blade of grass, the light at animates everything in the physical world. She could hear sound, and song behind everything as if the world really had been sung into existence (Chronicles of Narnia).

In her dreams, Linn experiences past memories of other lives, realizing that these lives had shaped her ideas in her present life, causing limitations and judgements. Linn learned that by re-living her past memories, she could release herself from her present limited way of thinking, and to heal herself, and that's what her book is about. Experiencing past lives in order to heal present traumas.

Chapter by chapter, Linn takes the reader on a journey as to how they too can seek out through their dreams/regression therapy/and clues to their present likes, and dislikes, past lives that might be holding them back in their current lives. How we can claim gifts, and talents from lives previously lived through remembering them, but the most important thing I think that we can learn, is that we've all done good and bad in our lives, so judgement turns out to be laughable. Just like in the movies, we all take on role after role until we've played every part, until we are finished and full of hard-won wisdom.

If you know nothing about reincarnation, Denise Linn's book is a great place to start.

This book is really good. I have remembered many past lives over the years through meditation, they have just come up spontaneously, usually set off by relationships I am in at the time and usually when I am going through some kind of emotional drama with that person triggering off experiences that were unresolved in the past. I have never done anything with the memories or experiences just observed them and been aware of them. What I like about this book is that it gives tools to process those core issues that have been brought through to the current life. There are exercises in the book ie., What kinds of clothes, food, architecture, music, food, cultures, talents, games you played as a child etc., I have done nearly all of the exercises and in doing so I have memories of a lot of lives consciously that I didn't have before without any drama in my life or regression and I'v actually remembered pleasant lives, usually I just remember the painful experiences because they are the ones that are being triggered in my life while I'm trying to resolve difficult things with others in my life. I feel that it is a advanced practise and that if you meditate you will get to this stage of processing and remembering all of your past lives but it may take many years of meditating to get to that point. So I highly recommend this book. I feel she is spot on in regards to karma actually being within your power to make choices rather than what comes around goes around and you are powerless to do anything like a punishment kind of karma. The books' exercises are very empowering not to mention interesting. Enjoy.
