Bill Willingham never fought a desperate and losing battle in a good cause, never contributed to society in a meaningful way, and hasn't lived a life of adventure, but he's had a few moments of near adventure. At some point in his life Bill learned how to get paid for telling scurrilous lies to good people, and he's been doing it ever since. He lives in the wild and frosty woods of Minnesota.

Top review from the United States

this is a very good story following robin and his inner thoughts on his life with batman and his own right wrong issues as he helps a group of solders with a mission. very well done, drawing and story both. a good read for anyone. the demon issue may be alittle too much for younger kids, but 13 and older is fine. Good Book

Bob McBobob
4.0 out of 5 stars Great art and story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 11, 2015
First of all I love the art in this book. Scott McDaniel did some incredible work on Nightwing and although the art here isn't quite up to that standard it still looks great and the cartoony, graffiti style fits the younger theme of Robin perfectly. It's just that the colours don't pop quite as much as they did in Nightwing.

The story starts off pretty slow with Robin being asked to join the army and Batman grumbling something about how he would be wary of it. Tim has lost a lot leading up to this story and it has some nice themes of family and camaraderie as he finds support through this new group of soldiers. There is also a lot of variety as they run about around the world dealing with a few different threats and although I felt it started off a bit slow, it really picks up after the first third and I couldn't put it down.

I would highly recommend this. It does a good job of explaining what has happened in the story before and has a satisfying conclusion so it sits pretty well as a stand alone adventure.
