First off.. hats off the the publisher, it is a beautiful work....Was apprehensive as to whether it was actually going to be large font or the cover in the picture. It was, both.. A gem from the great Master, W. W. Atkinson. I do see a small error on page 53 where it is missing the "O" from Power of Desire. Nonetheless, 5-Star Book!

Self help is not the correct term for categorizing this book. Although if it were, it would certainly be one of the first of its kind. No, this book is about self-empowerment. It's author lost everything and reinvented himself in spectacular fashion. Sage principles and sound advice even today, Atkinson applies principles of individualism, the power of the "I", and mental science very clearly and effectively. For me, the chapter on The Power Of Desire was most meaningful. I was raised to believe desire was a base and selfish thing to covet. Atkinson explains that desire is the motivating force that runs the world. That desire is not the master. Indeed we can attain mastery over desire and learn to use it effectively in our daily lives. I think this book belongs on every young adult's book shelf, a time in which their minds are sponges. It is truly a terrific guide for navigating an effective and empowered life.

I feel this author "walked his talk" and his wit and wisdom translate well for the modern reader.

The 4-star rather than five has to do with the format. It's type is smaller than other kindle books.

But readable and this book is very much worth reading.
