Born in Punjab (India) Maulana Muhammad Ali had a distinguished acadamic record, obtaining degrees in English and Law by 1899. As the title clearly states, this little reference volume is a fascinating resource (particularly for non-Muslims) for understanding one Islamic sub-group's concept of the Antichrist, Gog and Magog. The author, Maulana Muhammad Ali, was born in Punjab, British India, in 1874. He obtained an M.A. in English and a LL.B. in 1899. He joined this new `fringe group' called the Ahmadiyya Movement in 1897, which he saw as a restored and pure Islamic faith. He died in 1951. Islam is quite vast and complex with many groups and sub-groups. That said, most muslims (worldwide) consider the Ahmadiyya group to be a cult and outside of mainstream Islam. I highly recommend this book.

First, I am a muslim. So I'm not muslim bashing in the least.

The idea that Christianity is the fulfillment of the Dajjal is pure nonsense. It is easy to see that this book was written in turn of the century India, when distrust of the west and christianity was at a all time high. I don't believe in Christianity, have problems believing in a sadistic God who cannot just forgive but demands blood. However, to signal out that one religion as the antichrist, when it is against all doubt and argument that they have done much for the world forthe good, is foolishness.

While I usually like the Mualana's works, here he let his personal opinions and prejudices influence his writing. Hence, the low marks.
