"While most of us in bereavement work seek a 'generalist' identification rather than be narrowly defined or focused, it must be stated that Rob Stevenson is the best (and, in many ways, only) resource truly able to capture the issues surrounded school response to crisis and death and motivate schools (and others) to work and to work together for the common good of individuals and institutions.

Stevenson writes well. He is insightful, clever and well stated. More than all of that, he is in touch with his audience. The child within him is healthy and alive, connecting to the countless students he has come to know and guide as a teacher and counselor.
