In 1909, artist Pamela Colman Smith’s involvement with the Order of the Golden Dawn led to a commission to create a 78-card tarot deck that was the first to include full pictorial scenes for the Minor Arcana. Pamela’s mystical influences are evident throughout the art.

My one complaint of the Rider Waite deck, has always been that they are just too large for an average person hands. I have some big hands. but they are just muscular, my fingers are about the average length and all.
I can handle a poker sized deck of card with ease and it feels comfortable dealing with a deck more of that size. Even 104 cards are easy in my hand and I doubt anyone else have a difficult time with that task unless they have really tiny hands.
So when I saw one of my friends deck of Pocket Rider Waite Tarot, I knew I just had to have a deck of these once my own deck fell apart, Which recently they have.
These cards are actually not poker card sized (3.5" x 2.5") across the board. To retain pretty much the same ratio of a full sized Rider Waite Tarot Card, they are Bridge sized instead (3.5" x 2.25") which are about a quarter of an inch more narrow then Poker sized card. For many smaller hands this makes a difference if the comfort of handling.
Many casinos use bridge sized card for all their card based games for this reason.
Why does all this make a difference? Well it really doesn't. they are still Smaller but retaining all of the Classic Artwork of the Original Rider Waite Tarot cards. Nothing is change here other then the over all size of the cards.
I have ordered my own deck, but have yet to receive them. I plan on seeing them tomorrow or the next day. I have however seen and used this particular deck enough to review them.
Images are beautiful, and it is a great size.
I have the miniature and regular size RWS, and this one perfectly completes my collection. 💜💜💜
This deck is nicer than the regular size deck!!!!! The colors are great and the faces are smooth and cleaned up. I don't know why they can't make a regular size deck as nice as this?
The scenes are drawn and colored beautifully on the Major Arcana, as well as the Minor Arcana, instantly offering me personal, intuitive interpretation without prior reference to written meanings. In this way, I felt I made them my own.
The instructional booklet with the deck offered an interpretation for each card, sometimes agreeing with mine, sometimes not. Since I looked over all the cards before reading the booklet, I was able to decide which interpretation felt more right to me. The booklet gave much more information including spreads, a tarot history and information on the art of divination.
For the cost, if you are interested in learning about Tarot, you cannot find a better deal or a better deck.

The box was a bit roughed up but the cards were in mint condition. A great deal if you don't mind used cards which were returned for a reason. This is not the first time I bought used and all experiences on Amazon are amazing.
I will be using this deck for personal use and YouTube videos.
Card stock just like regular playing cards and matte. Images are good.
Don't miss out.
Enjoy 💜
