About the author
Cathleen Curry is a true daughter of the Midwest. She was born in Sioux Falls, SD, attended colleges in the Midwest, married a South Dakota farmer and raised nine children on a seed corn farm. After her husband died and the children one at a time left for greener pastures elsewhere, she went back to college and finally graduated from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Ia. with a BA degree in Theology. Having no ambitions to cross the Pope's pronouncements about women and the priesthood, she worked for awhile for Catholic Family Services and volunteered much of her time and talents to Beginning Experience (B.E.), a weekend for the widowed, divorced and separated. Eventually this led to her books, When Your Spouse Dies, When Your Parent Dies and An Evening Walk: Steps Toward Wisdom and Grace. A hiatus of ten years when no writing came from her computer and she dealt with a Parkinson's Disease (P.D.) diagnosis. At the age of 81 she is working on a book that will give those with a chronic illness a guideline to follow as they search for the connection between physical and spiritual health. Since P.D. reduces the energy level of its "friends," it seems to be taking a long time to get this book written. However, her ancestors didn't give up when they came from Ireland and Germany, so Cathleen is determined to get this book written and published. Pray for her!
