How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

fantastic learning tool

My primary criticism of this book is that the Arabic print is much too small for a middle aged to elderly reader. I ordered it (obviously from another source) hoping it would be useful in my upcoming travel to Algeria. The "vest pocket" moniker is a bit misleading too. I took it literally-- thinking it was small enough to easily tote along for a trip. Bottom line, I'll have to make a trip to a brick and mortar store to find exactly what I need.

Fantastic little book. Wonderful paradigms and explanations. Useful dialogues in real Egyptian Arabic.

The title of this book is something of a misnomer: it really should be "Vest Pocket Egyptian Arabic" since that is what it teaches. It would sertainly be very difficult to use this as one's only text for learning Egyptian Arabic, although every sentence in the book is translated word for word and there are thumbnail sketches of grammar as well. But it covers a lot of useful everyday topics and for someone who already has learned some Egyptian and wants to expand their vocabulary, or else is looking to brush up having studied some in the past, I would give this book a thumbs up. Other pluses: it's cheap and it's portable (that part of the title is right, anyway).

Just a lot of dialogue. Not easy Arabic-learning. No index. But it does have word-for-word translation of sentences. Don't recommend it if you want to learn in an easy, simple matter. This is for intense sit-down reading. All concentration reading, like studying.
