This pocket dictionary is a reprint from 1960 and is no use to a modern day Chinese language student or traveller to mainland China. The Pinyin (romanised writing) is an pre-war version no longer used and the Hanyu (characters) are the traditional ones as still used in Taiwan and Hongkong, but of no use if you go to mainland China or are learning Mandarin.
In fact the synopsis on Amazon is very misleading and should make this clear. I would almost say that the publishers are a bit naughty and are trying to cash in on the current interest for Chinese language learning.
Apart from that it's a cheaply made little book, nowhere near the value they are asking for it. Don't waste your money on it.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
