The Beatles were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool in 1960. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat, and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented with several genres, ranging from pop ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements in innovative ways. In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania", but as the group's music grew in sophistication, led by primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney, they came to be perceived as an embodiment of the ideals shared by the counterculture of the 1960s.

I bought this needing some new music to play, and wow, I am glad I did. Having grown up with the Beatles and being familiar with their tunes helped. Dance I am new to the instrument, I was just overjoyed to be playing 5 or 6 of my favorites at first sitting. There are around 88 songs here. Some I don,t care for and may never try, but all the best the Beatles did are, in my opinion.The music is printed well, easy to read. But this, you won,t be sorry.

This is her third year of playing the alto sax, and she is really interested in breaking out of the school band songs to learn some tunes on her own. This is perfect for her and definitely a more thrilling way for her to get her weekly required practice time in. Plus, I love the tunes coming out of her room!

My son has been playing sax for a couple of years, and has difficulty with many of these songs. I'm sure he'll grow into it. There are lots of songs here, if you name your average Beatles song, it's likely here. However, many of their excellent but lesser-known songs (eg, Goodnight, She's Leaving Home, Dig a Pony), aren't here. Maybe they aren't playable on the alto sax? Anyhow, I'm going to take five minutes out of my day to type out a list of songs, since I seriously can't believe it isn't listed somewhere in the item description:
