It is a really cool book. It's very durable and well made. Full of great pictures and tons of information. I bought it as a gift for my husband and he really enjoys it. Our son likes to look over and read the pages as well. You don't have to be a comic book junkie to appreciate this book. I'm not (and I'm a girl ;P ) but I also spend some time going through all the pages. If you like or are interested in the X-Men on any level what-so-ever this book is for you.

Great informative book, great deal since the original price was almost $100. A little dated in the information, like Rogue' real name as Anna-Marie in the movies. That is her real name in the comic cannon, I guess the author didn't include that. Wish there was something about the storylines that made the most impact in X-men cannon.

The "cerebro" book of the x-men characters and history. I love this book. I really hope in the future they update the book, as there is always many new additions that occur every few years in the x-men world. Nonetheless, worth the price if you are new to the x-men world or just love to read about it!

Fantastic history of the X-Men. From the first comic to the latest movies. It's an excellent coffee table book for fans of the series.

This is more a coffee table book about marvel x-men’s beginnings. It nice and picturesque. This however is NOT a definitive book of all of its characters in the x-men universe and their bios, which is what I wanted.

What can I say, I'm still a nerd for this stuff and I love having the backstory at my fingertips.

I wonder if many reviewers have read this book. It's littered with errors and misinformation (not understanding the progression of Angel to Archangel, strangely characterizing Havok's plasma as "blasts of heat", an image of Bobby Drake undergoing his secondary mutation that is mislabeled as him "demonstrating his transformation", a condescending correction surrounding Generation X that is incorrect, a picture of Deadpool that suggests Mr. Sinister is the one pictured--!...)

It seems to have been written with lazy, cursory research, and an emphasis on tying itself into the then-current X-Men movies, as that seems to be the major extent of its (as a result, extremely incorrect) knowledge about Lady Deathstrike, for example.

Packaged nicely and with some nice art, but since the information inside is questionable at best, that's all there is to be said for it, as any information should be thoroughly scrutinized and compared to more accurate information, negating any use as a dandy little guide. Not worth the time at all, nor certainly the original cover price, or many of the used prices.

Love this Book. Its huge, colourful, and full of X-Men information. Its not perfect by any means,(grammar) but its great for the casual fan, who's catching up on the stories, or someone who has a new interest in the mutant legends.
