I’m Maggie Shayne.

I was born a storyteller, and I will cross to the other side a storyteller, and when I get there, I’ll haunt some young writer who’s still on earth by whispering my stories into her ears, because I’ll still be a storyteller. I think that’s what our muses are. Storytellers gone by. I am so incredibly blessed, because I got a really good one. I love her.

My stories are Paranormal Romances like my groundbreaking Wings in the Night vampire romance series, (the original “Twilight” vampire novels) and my wildly popular Fatal Series, (rom-com ghost mysteries with a Scooby gang you’ll want to join.) I’ve also penned two epic witch series, The Immortals and The Portal trilogy, along with fantasy romance quartet By Magic

My stories are also small town contemporary romances all about family, loyalty and love, like The Texas Brand Series, The Oklahoma Brands, and The McIntyre Men.

I have spun Romantic Thrillers like my career-best Brown & de Luca series, The Mordecai Young Series, The Secrets of Shadow Falls, Shattered Sisters.

All info about my books and my CoffeeHouse blog are at MaggieShayne.com

I also write spiritual self-help books. I blog and teach about natural magic, the law of attraction. I offer personal readings, and I have a little magic shop. You can find all of that at BlissBlog.org

I love who I am, what I do, and everything about my life. I especially love my readers, because, let’s face it, storytelling would be pretty pointless without them. You. I love knowing you as much as possible, via email, Facebook, Twitter, my newsletter and my blogs.

So pick a story, any story, and then curl up in a comfy chair, and wrap your softest blanket around your shoulders. Fill your favorite mug with your favorite warm beverage and fall into my worlds for a little while. I think you’re gonna like it here.

Blissfully,

Maggie Shayne,

Storyteller

Once again another great story from Maggie, this one falls over from Thicker Than Water. He's come back to make Lizzie pay for what she's done. They've sent someone to watch and protect her again, but he's not government anymore. Things start happening between them, but neither wants to give in to it. Lizzie still has trust issues and Josh keeps telling himself he's just doing his job. Mordecai`s guides have told him he will find her soon and the heir he's been looking for. He thinks taking everything Lizzie loves from her is the way to make her see her wrongs and pay for shooting him. Will his guides be right or will things go wrong? He's questioning them now and yet he trusts their right about what they tell him. Will they finally be able to bring him down and live a normal life? And will he be able to pass on his so called gift? What will happen if he does? Lots of action and intense moments and then there's the spark between Lizzie and Josh, it's a good book.

J: This one too is very good but not quite as good as the first. While this author writes great suspense and the characters are totally believable, there were some slow spot that had me skipping over. And some of the teens' actions kind of annoyed me a bit. Still lots of action and excitement, and a very good read.

Great mystery to read in the winter as you snuggle up by the fire with a hot cocoa. Especially since cocoa is mentioned so much in the novel. I enjoy the combination of mystery, paranormal, great character development, and a weird guy! FUN book!

Maggie Shayne has hit a home run with this book. It was suspenseful, thrilling, scary and heart wrenching. I was upset when I came to the end; I wanted more. Shayne is an incredible author and whoever reads this book will enjoy it as much as I did.

Not too cerebral, makes a very good before-bed reading. Well-written and engaging. Makes me want to read the rest of the series.

Colder Than Ice is the second installment to Maggie Shayne’s Mordecai Young Series. Josh thought he had accidentally killed Beth/Lizzie, one of the young runaways living at the Young Believers Compound that day during the botched government raid. The guilt he carried was never far from him. Josh is shocked when he realizes that the person he’s there to protect is none other than the young victim he thought he killed years before. A very well written romantic suspense and fast paced novel, filled with lots of twists and turns and lots of mystery. Colder Than Ice was an edge of your seat, hard to put down story. Highly recommended.

This book was definitely not as good as the first one, "Thicker Than Water". However, you need to read this one before you go on to book #3, "Darker Than Midnight" which is as great as "Thicker Than Water".
