This text carefully and completely examines the process involved in each type of bankruptcy filing, beginning with the client interview and ending with the closing of the case. Case examples illustrate the concepts discussed, and problems are presented to challenge the students to apply what they have learned. This format of presenting the concept, offering supporting examples, and including problems faced in the bankruptcy process creates the opportunity for lively class discussion and enhanced learning. In this edition, greater emphasis is placed on the paralegal's role in the fact-gathering process, the interface with clients, and the preparation of the various forms required to be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Court. The latest official forms are included in the text, along with in-depth explanations of how each line of each form should be completed.

Covers the landscape with some case law, examples of forms and filings, excerpts from the Code, easy to read and good reference. As a basic intro, the book will give you the basics. For a paralegal or new attorney, it is a good overview for the tactical practice of filing and basic case administration. Not a hornbook and not a law school approach.

I recently ordered this book for a class that I'm taking this semester starting on 8/25. I placed my order on 7/29/10 and the book arrived on 8/7/10 in excellent condition. I ordered a used copy of this book, and there is no writing or highliting in the book at all. The only thing is the corners are slightly bent. I will order from this company again!

This might be a good supplement to someone taking a bankruptcy course in college or law school. Not useful for practicing attorney expanding into bankruptcy.

I received the textbook right away; however the book was not in "Good" condition. The binding was in bad condition and the cover was covered in tape. There was extensive highlighting in the text. Happy with the quick service and price, but not the condition of the book.
