Started slow but quickly drew you in the story line. The message of redemption and the Christian walk clearly presented. It was a good book for a relaxing read.

I had hoped this book would pick right up where the previous one had ended, but it didn't. However, it didn't take me long to get wrapped up in the story that started about 8 years after Book 1 ended, but many of the characters were familiar which is what makes a series like this fun for me.

There was good intrigue, touching moments and good highlights of faith. The good guys are good. The bad guys are bad. And there's redemption and forgiveness in the midst :)

There were some things that felt a bit over the top that keep this book from being 5 star, but so far the series looks to be a solid 4 stars, which for me equals VERY enjoyable and ones I'll definitely read again as well as recommend.

I loved this book very much. Was well written and researched. HEIRS OF ACADIA series is a wonderful series. Everyone should know this is picked up from the first series SONG OF ACADIA. Have the Kleenex handy by Janette Oke, Davis's mother-in-law.

I am a historical fiction fan. I am interested in what those in my extended family might have experienced in years gone by as there are no old journals.. I really enjoyed learning of the experiences of the characters and found it very well researched. I know its a good book when I put it down and am longing to learn more of the characters several days later. A word was used within the story which will stick with me forever. Its the word "Shriven". I will never forget the experience of the character, Lillian as she became aware of the forgiveness which she felt from the Lord. I appreciate it so much because I can truly relate. Thank you T. Davis Bunn & Isabella Bunn.

What's it like to live in fear of being or doing something wrong? Can I really find a way out? How could God love me? These and more questions are answered in the story of growth and adventure and new beginnings. A story of strength. As always you can not put this book down for more than a few minutes, I wanted to read the next page and feel the excitement carrying me along. Good reading.

The widow Countess Lillian Houghton is caught in a trap by an unscrupulous banker who threatens to expose her past unless she aids him in destroying the Aldridge family and Gareth and Erica Powers. However, when Lillian meets the people she had agreed under duress to help the banker ruin, she finds friends. How can she carry out her nefarious scheme?
I recommend this novel to those who enjoy historical fiction and clean romances.

I really enjoyed this Christian novel. It is a part of a series, but I think it would work well as a stand alone book. It was great to get a feel for history from the viewpoint of Christian authors. Highly recommend the book and the series.

I liked the book as a whole, but felt it was a little scattered in the time frames. And a little challenging to keep track of all the characters and how they fit into previous books.
