I am trying to learn spanish and really wanted to work on my verbs, past tense and future tense. This is great for learning and studying.

I'm refreshing my memory of basic Spanish. I haven't taken Spanish since high school, but took a Spanish placement test in college and I placed in 102, but I found I didn't remember as much as I thought from high school. So I bought this book earlier this year, but just know have started to use the book. I have only finished section 1, but I like the book. It explains things, gives tips, vocabulary works, and side notes. It also gives you a lot of practice writing, multiple choice questions, and a crossword puzzle at the end of the lesson. I like this book a lot. Its good for self teaching in conjunction with some other books. I also bought Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Verb Tenses by Dorothy Deveney Richmond. Practice Makes Perfect Spanish Sentence Builder by Gilda Nissenberg, Ph.D. Cliff Quick Reivew Spanish I. 6,000 Essential Spanish Words by Living Language, and one of my favorites Madrigals Magic Key to Spanish by Margarita Madrigal. I would also recommend buying a Spanish dictionary. I have yet to buy one. I have been looking up words on online Spanish dictionary websites. Also I recommend this forum if you have any questions while you are learning. [...]/. I also like this Spanish language learning website: [...]/.

very helpful for the understanding verbs and grammar in general. Highly recommend.

I have studied Spanish in high school, college and even spent a semester in Puerto Rico, but three years later I found that I was losing my Spanish quickly, and this book has helped to re-familiarize me with topics ranging from the basics (which needed repeating) all the way to the more advanced verb conjugations. I would highly recommend this book to intermediate learners like me, but I think if I was learning Spanish for the first time, it would be WAY over my head, so its not that great for beginners. But overall, a big help in helping me maintain and expand my Spanish knowledge.

Excellent resource for those seeking to understand how the Spanish language is put-together. I used it in my introductory Spanish class, and now use it in my 2nd level Spanish class. Excellent!! This workbook should be used with a primary text that explains the structure of the Spanish language in more relational detail.

I strongly recommend "Barron's 501 Spanish Verbs" as the primary tool with this workbook to provide the repetitive exercise.

This book offers short lessons on each of the verb tenses in Spanish. After each lesson there is a worksheet where the student can practice that skill. The best part is that the answers are given at the back of the book so that the student can instantly assess whether that skill has been mastered.

This is a book I have been looking for for years. It is helping in tutoring a student who is very conscientious to fill out several pages a day, and enjoying it. She finds it informative, interesting, and quite thorough. Verbs are usually difficult to grasp, but this book gives the explanations and practice exercises that the student needs to learn Spanish.

I'd give it 3.5 stars. Many exercises ask you to use (i.e., translate from English to Spanish) vocabulary that hasn't been introduced, which is annoying and sidetracks you from focusing on the verbs. Wish there were more "drills" instead of the one brief one after each introduction of a tense. Author must be Spanish; there are many references to Spanish culture, locations, books, artists. Would be nice if it included more Latin American references, but this is a minor point.
