Review
--D. James Kennedy, Ph.D., senior minister, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church
“I can't think of anyone more knowledgeable to lead someone out of sexual bondage than Alan Chambers. He is a man of integrity and compassion. His heart, life, and words are full of wisdom. He has personally touched my life with his kindness and love for God. It is friends like Alan I want everyone to get to know. In order to introduce you to this godsend to our nation, I highly recommend God's Grace and the Homosexual Next Door.”
--Dennis Jernigan, composer, author, former homosexual
“If you're a believer who's touched by this issue--and these days, who isn't?-- then you'll be as excited as I am about this book. It doesn't come a moment too soon.”
--Joe Dallas, author of Desires in Conflict and The Game Plan
“This is a wonderful book--unapologetic truth wrapped with tenderness and compassion. I'm grateful to Alan Chambers and his associates for providing the biblical and practical insight and help the church needs. I'm thankful for this book and enthusiastically recommend it to you.”
--Dr. Robert Wolgemuth, author of She Calls Me Daddy
“I am so grateful this book is finally available. With wisdom, knowledge, and grace, Alan offers those who struggle with their sexuality and those who love them a place to stand. It is with other broken people, welcomed into the life changing love of God. For those who long to understand the heart of God to the homosexual community and how to share that love, this book is a gift.”
--Sheila Walsh, Women of Faith keynote speaker
“It's an excellent resource book, whether you're a Christian concerned about your homosexual friends and family members, or if you're involved in a church that's willing to minister. Christ died for everyone. We sin when, through hatred or fear we refuse to minister to the lost just because they make us uncomfortable. Alan Chamber's God's Grace and the Homosexual Next Door is an important resource for anyone interested in taking the gospel to the homosexual community, and one I strongly recommend.”
--Barbara Warren, author
“Thank you for being so open and real with your readers and for showing the church how to have the same compassion toward others as Christ has toward each of us.”
--Shannon Ethridge, MA

MY RESPONSE: I notice you used the word 'wickedness' to describe the Biblical principle that you say is 'destructive and harmful'. The Bible says in Isaiah 5:20, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. In Genesis, it clearly states that the men that committed sodomy were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly. It also says in Leviticus, If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. The Bible also says in (along with may other places such as Rom 1) 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God?
Again I notice you used another Biblical phrase (wolf in sheep's clothing) to accuse those who stand by the Word of God, calling it 'spiritual and emotional abuse'. Actually in Matthew 7, the referral of wolves in sheep's clothing is about those who teach or prophesy things that are against the truth, against the Word of God.
I would like to say, as a mother of 8, that I have first hand knowledge of the harm homosexuality causes those who practice it. As a person who has seen friend's die because of the pursuit of this lifestyle. My oldest who has chosen to PRACTICE homosexuality, (notice it is about practicing it) that I have seen his life spiral into devastation. He now has HIV. My son, my baby... has been a victim of emotional and spiritual abuse. By the worse kind of perpetrator. The enemy, the devil, the father of lies, who will tell you a lie, who will use the scripture to try to twist the lie into what sounds like truth. As he did from the beginning of time, when he twisted God's word with Eve. If you don't believe the Word of God to be true, you will have to take it up with the Lord. And you will one day, face to face, and you will then see fully and clearly. Hopefully, it won't be too late for you or someone else, or for your daughter, who I am sure you love, as I do my children. A friend will tell you the truth as I believe these books are trying to do. The wounds of a friend are faithful, the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
"God's Grace and the Muslim or Hindu next door." We must not mind our own business and intrude into their lives and shove our Chosen, Practiced lifestyle down their throats.
I hope Santa Clause will agree with me in saying the sequel will help me in dealing with people that have NCAD (Non Christ Attraction Disorder), it is not scientifically documented, I just made it up like Same-Sex Attraction Disorder. The sequel will bring the FIRE errr.... I mean light of Christ to people the don't believe in him. I will walk up to thier house a FLAUNT my CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE choice in the face of gays and non Christians and show them how the FIRE of Christ can bring them salvation because their "GOD/S" are fake and Not real, and don't deserve my respect.
I hope the next book after that teaches me how to become a better person too. For the longest time I have suffered from Opposite Sex Attraction Disorder. It is truly horrible. I want cause my wife pain by rupturing her hymn. I must find a way to deal with these destructive feelings.
These destructive feelings of practicing heterosexuality have lead my wife into a horrible life. For you see I live in Africa, were the people that have HIV are heterosexual. The sinner by a previous divorce, my wife, had her first sexual experience and was infected through french kissing a man with AIDS. (I keep telling her that she does not need her pills, just unrelenting prayer.) And since Practicing the Heterosexual lifestyle is the cause of HIV in Africa (forget about safe sex) I have been trying to make as many Africans Gay. Because if you can make the gays straight in America to save them from HIV, then I can make straights gay to save them from HIV in Africa.
Furthermore, I will be interested in the suggestions Alan Chambers has for converting my non Christian neighbors. I have a couple ideas. (Sieg Trinity)
-First we make the wear red circles. (This is to tell society, Moral Christian society Only, who need to be proselytized to. These people will receive extra help.
-Second If the have not converted by then we can turn their homes in to community Churchs to honor god. This will allow them to be in the house of the Lord even when their at home.
-Third. If they still have not converted then we should give them a break a ship them be rail car to Jesus Camp.
-Forth. At Jesus Camp they will have Ovens (for food), Electrified fences (to keep them safe, think ultra high voltage security system), a gas...err I mean showers with Aroma therapy. I hear Zyklon B is a popular fragrance.
