I liked that the book arrived on time and was wrapped in plastic to protect it! Thank you BOTO for this and i am glad that you had this edition for my fall semester class!

As the author of this casebook, I think it's only fair to point out that the "Law Student" from Wisconsin who posted the negative review of the casebook was not using the second edition, which was not published until after the review was posted. While the cases in the first edition were not in a "random order," I suspect that the student would find the organization of the second edition more intuitive. As for the other elements of the book (e.g., the editing of the cases, the nature of the supplementary and background material, and the value of the case studies), perhaps these are a matter of taste, because many other students and faculty have offered praise for the way we have executed these elements. (Just not on Amazon!) And, of course, a student's perception might be colored by the views and skills of the instructor. In any event, I hope that students and faculty will decide for themselves. I love teaching from the book (of course), and my students seem to like it, too. And, if this is any indication, sales of the second edition are brisk.

P.S. Amazon would not allow me to post this response without rating the book. Hmm. What to do? Honesty usually serves me well ... so I gave the book five stars!

A new book should come with an access code to the eBook, but mine does not come with the code.

Taking a class with this right now. It actually is my favorite class and the book is good quality but definitely not "fun."

This casebook presents business law concepts straightforwardly enough, but the lack of case editing really lowers its appeal and overall utility to students. I'm not sure to what degree, if at all, the authors edited many of the cases in this book - but the majority of the cases I was assigned were overly long and burdened by unnecessary details. I ended up spending half my reading time trudging through pages of introductory factual material until I finally got to the "golden nugget" of knowledge the case was supposed to impart, or the concept the case was supposed to illustrate. Hopefully the 3d Edition will be more concise.

I just began reading the book for Business Associations class in law school. But so far,

Bad news first:

I agree with previous reviewers the cases do SOMETIMES contain too much information. And, by the way, how often do we praise case editing in casebooks? :)

Great news:

The theory sections/comments/author's discussions in between the stupid cases are awesome gems jammed packed with information. I do not see a need for supplemental given how much he yacks it up about the Restatement and contextual data.

The hypothetical problems are a gift to the student. Great job here! Who needs E&E with these around?

Definitely, the positive aspects far outweigh the negative aspects of the case book.

To the author if he reads this: sometimes it is not clear where the case ends and your comment begins. :(

The book is in a good shape, although it's not perfect may be because of the shipment, it seems to be new, has no erasures or marks. I received it 6 days after scheduled but, the wait was worth it. Thanks!
