I have 2 editions of this book that's enough for my selected collection and my research on psychic abilities. I've been working on ESP and Psychokinesis for some time and how it relates to the science of superpowers known in superhero fiction along with the legendary Eastern practices of the Siddhis.

I would have given this book 5 stars if the author would have included exercises on how to practice our psychic gifts. It's a very nice scientific way of writing about psychics and I'm sure that all people have a psychic gift to some extent. She reports very well on several different categories of psychics and their abilities but she never explains how you can find out which psychic gifts the reader has.

All in all, an interesting book.

This book was a good read for me only one time. The way they explain everything in the beginning is very complicated and scientific. If you don't know much of physics and such you'll be lost. But after that it is written as some random book about psychic powers you would pull off the local library shelf. The author states that no one can learn the abilitys. You'd have to be born with the ability to hone in to the right frequency in order to control what she calls semions and goes on to explain it. She gives tips on ways of training the abilitys a individual may have. But I cant stress how much she says you have to be born with the ability to control the semions. She also changes the term of Telekinesis so it is linked to the ability to control electricity instead of the more popular term of moving objects. She also states that psychokinesis is the ability to have control over everything. It has some rather interesting theories that could explain the so called psychic phenomena. But for me it was as I said before, a one time read.

I work and practice in many alternative fields, all of which I am considered to be quite knowledgeable, and I have to say, the author of this book offers a new twist and unique and helpful information to these subjects that I have yet to come across anywhere else. The book is written simply, but in fairly good detail. It's easy to understand, and straight to the point, no beating around the bush or fluff. The introduction explains the basics of how it all works, and then continues to explain what certain aspects are to come in the following chapters.

Each chapter addresses one form of psychic ability and the chapters are written in a encyclopedic format. The books is written more for people who think they have had psychic experiences or think they have a psychic ability, and are looking for enhancement or control. It's not necessarily written to explain how to be psychic, as we all are anyways, we just need to search within ourselves and through our experiences to figure out what kind of psychic we are. She suggests that people are prone to certain psychic abilities based on "psychological, physiological and environmental factors," and that because of this some people may be more likely to enhance one psychic ability over another, and I do agree with this based on my experiences.

She doesn't state that you can't learn a psychic ability, but she does state that she mainly worked with people who have psychic abilities, or have a history of psychic experiences, so directing people on how to develop psychic abilities they have no history of isn't really in her area of expertise I think. Otherwise, she seems to be a genuine expert in her field, and I recommend this book to any person looking to enhance or control a psychic ability.

There are abilities covered in this book that are not covered in any other books I have come across, like several "sub-forms" of psychokinesis. I love how she addresses misconceptions and myths about certain abilities, usually due to fiction, and how she corrects the definition of telekinesis and explains how psychokinesis is actually the umbrella term for moving objects with the mind in parapsychology not TK. I love all the exercises and techniques given for all the abilities. She also offers unique research on enhancing stones, which I thought was really interesting.

She also mentions personality traits for each ability to let people figure out for themselves what abilities they might have based on what type of personality they think they fit best. I found the personality traits lined up perfectly with what abilities I regularly use and therefore know I have. I've already gone back to this book several times to look up specifics, as there is a good amount of detail. I'm sure I'll be making use of this book for many years to come. I hope there are more books like this to come from this author because I really got a lot out of this one. I highly recommend it, well worth the price.
