Well-written book, and great final addition to Barbara Parker's under-appreciated "Suspicion Of" series with lawyers Gail Connor and Anthony Quintana. She certainly did her research about Cuba, even if the book obviously is fiction. It's just too bad that Parker wrote no more books in the series before her untimely death in 2009..She was a master of legal thrillers, and better than many of that genre's other authors who are still churning out books. The audiobooks of the first five in this series, beginning with Suspicion of Innocence, were narrated by the incomparable Barbara Rosenblat, who had the voices of both characters down to a "T." Unfortunately, the audiobooks of the last two in the series -- including this one -- were narrated by others, and are decidedly of a lower caliber, as a result. Even though the plots were excellent.

This series provides great entertainment — whodunits that are hard to put down. I'm so sorry that author, Barbara Parker is deceased, and no longer here to spin more of these tales. BUT, I wish somebody cared about the OCR errors in the ebooks that are hugely distracting to the story. Words pop up that aren't in any dictionary that I ever saw, or real words used inappropriately. It's up to the reader to guess what the author actually wrote.

I have loved this series form Barbara Parker from the first to the last of Gail Connor and Anthony Quintana novels, she also wrote other excellent books but this series I adored, and there would have been more wonderful book from her series but I read that she died and I am devastated for her family and for the wonderful books she won't write. I believe that a Soul can't die, and from all my research I have learned that where our spirits reside there is a library with books of all occurrences - the - truth- and the motivation behind it...It makes me happy to think that this excellent author has access to this and all the beautiful wonderful things that await us all.

I enjoy this series probably because I remember Miami growing up and going to school during the fall of Batista and then the time when Miami went from speaking Yiddish and English to Spanish and English seemingly overnight. The description of Coral Gables is accurate and enjoyable.

I loved this series of 8 books! But....every book had so many typing errors it was ridiculous! Someone should be fired......the person that did this, or the book company that didn't proof it. Still, I'm looking forward to #9!! (I purchased and read all ebooks on my Kindle)

This book is awsome! Amazon had suggessted that I would like this book when I was purchasing another one which was also another great book. So I read the first few pages that it gives you as a tease and decided to buy it as well. Now I'm going to the library in a few days when my request comes through for the first book of the series for this writer because this book was just that good. The twists that this book had kept me haning everytime I turned the page. It was very hard to put down and walk away.

Pleased with the condition of the book . I have been collecting all 8 books in this series and all others are paper backs. Would have preferred to have had "Suspicion of Madness" in a paperback. I thought the one I received would be. Willing to purchase another copy if I can get it in paperback.

I can't review this product because it was supposed to be sent US Mail and I NEVER GOT IT. I've looked for this book for a couple years and finally found it on Amazon. Where is it?
