Editorial Reviews

Review

"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ... One of [Margaret] Truman's best".

-- Booklist

From the Publisher

The never-ending fascination with our nation's capital has made Margaret Truman's novels bestsellers everywhere, including in my territory in Southern California. She always is in the top 15 on the lists. And I'm looking forward to selling her new mass market paperback, MURDER IN THE WATERGATE, which we publish next summer. --Nanci Andersen, Ballantine Sales

Mary Margaret Truman Daniel (February 17, 1924 – January 29, 2008), also known as Margaret Truman or Margaret Daniel, was an American singer who later became the successful author of a series of murder mysteries and a number of works on U.S. First Ladies and First Families, including a biography of her father, President Harry S. Truman. The only child of Harry Truman and First Lady Bess Truman, she was "a witty, hard-working Midwestern girl with singing talent who was neither particularly pretty nor terribly plain."

I love to read the books written by Margaret Truman. She is an easy read and keeps her readers in suspense.

This is a good mystery with enough twists and turns to be interesting. And it is also a good introduction to famous art.
My only criticism is that the number of characters makes it confusing. It is sometimes hard to know who is doing what!

Fascinating story. So many twists and turns. Just as you get to the end of one story and you think its all over something starts to unfold and another story line comes forward. It continues like this to the end. I enjoyed this book. Great read if you are looking for a good book Highly recommend.
