This textbook is excellent. It is a very thorough text describing every positioning for radiography students. It has proved to be very helpful in my studies so far, since I am a first year undergraduate Medical Radiation Sciences student doing Diagnostic Radiography. It is always at hand when I need to clarify or look up something. It also covers a bit on how xrays work and related physics that is necessary in any radiography textbook. I highly recommend it, and am very happy with purchasing this product.

Excellent organization and graphic design make a world of difference to visual-learners, which most of us are. Plus, it highlights in bold the important differences between procedures and the index is set up without 20 pages of listings under the heading "positioning" (!). Why is the Bontranger NOT the textbook of record???????

This thick book has it all. A short anatomy review at the beginning of each chapter, position guide with pictures, information on GI procedures and CT. A very useful section for me was the pictures that show the various bodies positions and the resulting image during GI procedures. It's something that I always struggle with. I will definitely be using this book a lot in subsequent years and for my certification.
