Review

Without a doubt, this book is truly unique amongst paediatric textbooks. I have not come across any other book which provides such a comprehensive atlas of paediatric conditions. The sheer number of clinical pictures and their quality is exceptional. The book has its own website which is very easy to use and allows remote access to all the text and pictures of the book. Additionally, the pictures can be downloaded for use in personal presentations. For those involved in teaching, this feature is priceless. I would strongly recommend this book to any health professional involved in the care of children.

Zitelli's Atlas of Pediatric Physical Diagnosis is the bible of pediatric clinical practice. It has plenty of picture which are extremely useful and the bulk of information is concisely worded without frills. I can quickly look up what I need and get a quick summary of what I need to know. I obviously took a gamble getting an old version but it seems fairly up to date considering it is not the most up to date version. I use it study as I feel all pediatric residents should do. I will eventually pick up the most updated version but this will do for now!

I bought this book since it comes highly recommended and I was not dissapointed, excellent quality photographs and detailed explanations and aids to understanding. The new edition has added many more pictures and text increasing the weight of the book.It does not replace a textbook in pediatrics since the management aspects are not gone into great detail but it will defintely serve as an excellent comapanion to one of the comprehensive textbooks in pediatrics.
It also is excellent in preparing for the pediatric boards and the picture questions are very similar to the photos in this book.

This book is regarded as the bible by me and friends of mine who are studying pediatrics with me. It has a little bit of everything and loads of great pictures. I guess my only criticism is that it doesn't go into enough detail on some topics. Very worth having!

If you are in the medical profession and looking for a great pediatrics reference atlas, this is it. The photos are incredibly helpful in showing common and less common ailments, and after spending some time studying the atlas at random, I have later been able to make diagnoses because I had seen something similar in this atlas. Extremely user-friendly, and fascinating just to browse. Less useful if you're looking for a specific book on dermatology as that comprises just a portion of this book. This was the top book on my "wish list" when I started looking for medical books.

I am a new NP and ordered this book to have a good resource for pediatrics. It is a good textbook but isn't concise enough for everyday clinical use. The pictures were helpful but they were all grouped together so it was hard to find the treatment suggestions. Probably a good reference for complicated cases or for students. Not as handy for the practitioner. I'm exchanging it for the 5 Minute Clinical Consult and Dermatology Deck.

This is perhaps there best Atlas I have encountered for a pediatrician. Even Google and YouTube can't together the in-depth idea of what this book provides. Highly recommended for board relevant contents as well as for clinical practice.

Great book but old like crazy. Do not follow the treatment in this book just learn from the pathology and the clinical pictures but treatment from the internet!

The best pictures, text book explanations and helpful for board exams and everyday clinical cases. A library reference book for your practice.
