I bought this because it was required for my class, as I'm sure is the reason the vast majority of people buy this book, making a review of it probably redundant. If you don't have to buy it the rating doesn't matter, and if you do have to buy it, you're getting it no matter what it's rated. Nevertheless, I felt I had to rate it because I've enjoyed reading it so much. This is the first textbook I've ever reviewed, because I generally just see them as something I have to get through to make a good grade. But I've actually really enjoyed reading this. They've done a good job of making the content relatable and there's enough humor in it to keep it light.

If nothing else maybe this review can make you dread having to buy this book less.

The book was on horrible condition. The description wasn't very clear when I ordered it. I wasn't aware when I ordered that I was buying a spiral bound book. The pages were stained with god knows what, it looks like it has been wet and the pages are coming off the binding. I knew I wasn't ordering a brand new book, but was at least expecting something "gently used ", not something that looked like it had spent and entire semester in the back of a car under old food wrappers. Beyond disappointed. If I didn't need for a class it would have been returned immediately!!!!

I was excited to find this textbook to be much cheaper than if I'd bought from the school bookstore, but there's just one thing... It doesn't include an access code for the Pearson website used along with the book. I guess this is okay, if your class doesn't use the website, but I had to buy an access code separately and ended up not saving anything. I've never sold books through Amazon, but I'm thinking it's not as easy as it would have been to sell it back to the bookstore.... Live and learn. I think it is still a good deal to buy textbooks on Amazon sometimes. I just didn't check all the specifics.
