This market-leading book introduces college students to the breadth and spatial insights of the field of geography. The authors' approach allows the major research traditions of geography to dictate the principal themes. Chapter 1 introduces students to the four organizing traditions that have emerged through the long history of geographical thought and writing: earth science, culture-environment, location, and area analysis. Each of the four parts of this book centers on one of these geographic perspectives.

I purchased this textbook for Geography 100, and it definitely worth it. It's cheap and has good quality. Even though the book is old, but there is no damage or anything. Notes in it are helpful, too.

This is pretty much your standard textbook - it has a good amount of graphics but a wealth of knowledge. Easy to read and understand!

My mother ordered this book for a class in Geography. She says so far it is pretty good. The first two chapter were a little boring, but over all very good. She got the two day shipping and it arrived the next day. I was very surprised.
