Fundamentals of Advanced Accounting, 3/e is ideal for those schools wanting to cover 12 chapters in their advanced accounting course. This brief yet concise text allows students to think critically about accounting, just as they will do preparing for the CPA exam. With this text, students gain a well-balanced appreciation of the Accounting profession. The 3rd edition introduces the students to the field’s many aspects, while focusing on past and present resolutions. The text continues to show the development of financial reporting as a product of intense and considered debate that continues today and into the future as it originates from Hoyle’s big text Advanced Accounting.

The course topics are very useful for undergraduates and a good introduction to Corporate Finance and Accounting.

However, I would recommend the latter Chapters i.e. 9,10 and 11,12 be placed in other books to allow more emphasis on the earlier chapters. This probably will make the book also good for graduate courses/students especially now with the 150 credit hour accounting programs.

Other than that, its a well developed book!!!

This book was very helpful in my course. And it has helped as a reference for my other classes as well. Definitely going to keep this book for future use and in my future career.

I hated class, but the book was in really good condition & some of the notes were helpful too. Plus it cost half of what the campus bookstore wanted for it! So glad I graduated!

Required textbook for an under-grad class. It is serving its purpose and will become part of my library, as I do not like e-books.
