About the Author

Dinkmeyer, a psychologist, is Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and director of the Communication, Motivation, and Training Institute.

Len Sperry, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician who has practiced medicine and health care leadership for more than 20 years. He taught health care leadership courses at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, where he was Director of the graduate program in Health Services Administration. He has written more than 300 professional publications, including 40 books. His latest publication is Effective Leadership: Strategies for Maximizing Executive Productivity and Health (Brunner-Routledge, 2001). Dr. Sperry has received lifetime achievement awards from the American Psychological Association and the Academy of Organizational and Occupational Psychiatry for his contributions to organizational development and leadership.

A solid introduction to the basics of adlerian psychology. A useful book for students and those wishing to get an overview of adlerian psychology. I found the chapter on psychopathology from an adlerian perspective excellent - it has stimulated me to read more in this area.
