Cheril N. Clarke is the author of five novels, one e-book and two plays. Three of her novels, Intimate Chaos, Tainted Destiny, and Losing Control, are available in both paperback as well as e-books. Raised in Miami, Florida, Clarke has lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York and has finally settled down with her wife in southern New Jersey. She has been featured in Curve Magazine, the nation's best selling lesbian magazine, The Princeton Packet, Philadelphia Gay News (PGN), About.com, Out IN Jersey, EURweb, Burlington County Times, Phillyburbs.com, 247gay.com, Femmenoinre.net, Sistah2Sistah Magazine, Clik Magazine as well as Crain's New York Business newspaper, among others. She is one of the most popular writers of fiction that features, but is not limited to, African-American lesbian characters. Clarke is read by women, men, gays, lesbians, bisexuals and heterosexuals in the United States, Caribbean and the United Kingdom because her work delves into the most universal themes of love, life and friendship. Her novels have explored subjects such as foster care, obsessive love, suicide, politics, infidelity, marriage and erotica. Her upcoming works promise to explore deeper themes such as same-sex domestic violence, white-collar crime, divorce and adoption across varied mediums.

In addition to novels and plays, her opinion columns have been featured by the National Coalition of Black Justice and her editorial work has appeared in About Magazine, GayWired.com and on 247gay.com. Clarke was a keynote speaker at an African Asian Latina Lesbians United conference and has performed at events organized by African American Lesbians United for Societal Change. Her most recent novel, Losing Control, debuted in paperback in June 2009. Her other recent publications include "Love and Marriage: The Gay and Lesbian Guide to Dating and Romance," a non-fiction e-book, "Illusions of Love" and "Ecstasy," which are erotic vignettes featuring Kenya, her firecracker character from "Intimate Chaos."
